Hi, I’m Brianna. Let’s Breathe.

I am certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork and have been practicing since 2008. I am also a certified health and life coach, and as of February 2023, I am a certified breathwork facilitator.

I knew about breathwork, but I didn’t know what it was. I thought it was just for breathing during the day. Although there are breathing coaches for daily breathing, I had never tried breathing techniques that are more intense.

I first learned about activated breathwork by accident. One day, while scrolling through Instagram, I came across a post by the infamous Travis Barker, Blink-182's drummer. He had posted a video of himself practicing breathwork with facilitator Lukis Mac. Intrigued, I decided to investigate further and visited Lukis's page. There, I discovered that Lukis is a certified breathwork facilitator and co-founder of Owaken Breathwork with his partner, Helle Weston. I decided to try their short five-minute "Owaken Daily" practice and experienced an immediate emotional release. It was a powerful experience that left me even more intrigued and fascinated.

When I discovered that Owaken was offering an online breathwork event that could take participants deeper into their own breathwork experience, I immediately signed up to give it a try. It did not disappoint. By utilizing activated breathing techniques, I learned a lot about myself. While it wasn't always comfortable, I experienced many emotions. However, during the restorative breathing phase of the breathwork journey, I felt deeply connected to myself and secure. After the event, I became aware of many things in my life that required special attention, and I began to sort through my newfound awareness and integrate it into my life.

A few months after starting my breathwork journey, I had the opportunity to join The Intuitive Impact Mastermind group led by Helle. We met biweekly online and participated in intensive healing sessions, breathwork practices, and focused on strengthening our relationship with our intuition. This was a profound healing experience that solidified my commitment to making breathwork a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. With each session, I became more calm, regulated, and connected to my body's innate healing wisdom, which proved invaluable as a busy mother and business owner.

After taking a class with Helle, I knew I wanted to become a breathwork facilitator so I could share this powerful technique with others. Coincidentally, Owaken announced that they would be offering a nine-month intensive breathwork training program for individuals to become certified, trauma-informed breathwork facilitators. Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity.

This training was amazing. It involved rigorous biweekly deep healing breathwork journeys, live calls, and over 32 different weekly modules covering topics such as ethics, energy work, anatomy, shadow-work, types of trauma, somatic experiences, accessing non-ordinary states of consciousness, and helping clients safely integrate their experiences.

This training was deeply healing, challenging, and beautiful. My favorite part of the training was when we were able to start working on practice clients. I quickly found out that every breathwork journey is unique and no two are alike. For me, sharing this experience with others; holding space for people to do their inner healing work is simply beautiful and humbling.

My goal is to share this healing modality with individuals who are ready to facilitate change within themselves. I hope that people will use these techniques to strengthen their relationship with their intuition, release stagnant energy within their mind and body, and ultimately become more regulated in their daily lives.
